Fiat Reveals Sophisticated New Panda

Italian car manufacturer Fiat has released exciting images of the new Panda ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

Sleek, sophisticated and incredibly roomy, the images reveal a more grown-up version of the iconic model. Available in a five door format only, the third generation Panda has made a 'qualitative leap in comfort, technology and safety equipment, and has a modern, harmonious look,' according to Fiat.

First released in 1980, the latest Panda is more robust than previous models measuring in at a length of 3650mm, a width of 1640mm and a height of 1550mm - a full 10mm taller than its predecessor. Flexible and functional, the rear seat splits and slides, while the front passenger seat backrest can be folded down to form a table.

Available with a range of efficient engines, the new Fiat Panda has been designed to make city driving a breeze. LED daytime running lights have been fixed below the headlamp clusters, while the B and C-pillars have been blacked out to create a sleek look. Other exciting aesthetic features include the inclusion of flared wheelarches and an optional giant glass sunroof dubbed the Skydome.

Due to make its début at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, production for the new Fiat Panda is due to begin in December at the Giambattista Vico factory in Naples. Other exciting models which are being lined up to make an impression at the German motor show include the Peugeot HX1 concept car and the Sebastian Vettel-inspired Infiniti FX50.
