Ford Accident Managment Scheme

Ford announces new Accident Management programme for all customers
Ford automobile owners who are involved in accidents will soon be able to utilise the manufacturer's new Accident Management program to find suitable garages and arrange repairs.
Announced last week but due to be launched in July 2011, the scheme will be provided to all new and used Ford owners across the UK free of charge. Regardless of their insurance company, Ford drivers will able to call the Accident Management Hotline which will then arrange for repairs to be carried out at the nearest Ford Accident Repair Centre.
At the Ford-approved garage Ford technicians will then use Ford repair techniques to install and repair Ford car parts. If eligible, customers will also be able to use a Ford courtesy car while theirs is off the road.
The Ford Accident Management Hotline, which will be managed by Innovation Group, has been designed to make it easier for customers to arrange a repair with insurers following an accident.
“We are pleased to be developing a fresh approach to accident management which will benefit our customers, our repair network and the insurance industry. The Ford Accident Management Scheme is financed by a 10% repairer fee paid by the Ford Accident Repair Centre to our partners, Innovation Group and a small fee paid by Ford Rental to Innovation Group for administering the non-fault vehicle provision,' commented Ford of Britain's Collision Repair manager Paul McDermott.
'Unlike existing credit hire models for accident management, there are absolutely no personal injury referral fees paid, no inducement to make PI claims and the at-fault insurers are charged a maximum of 85% GTA rates for car hire.'
