Facelifted version of Skoda's brilliant Octavia. New model answers criticisms of the outgoing car's bland looks with a fresh grille styled like the bigger Skoda Superb, while there's a new centre console inside. Best news is the VW Group's 122bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol is now available. Tested here in Elegance trim.

Road Test Rating It's always been excellent family transport but thanks to the new 1.4 TSI engine, the Octavia just got even better. Few cars are such good all-rounders, but the Skoda Octavia shows rivals how it should be done. Factor in a Skoda's legendary dealer experience and it's one of the best business cars you could possibly buy.
